Privacy Policy

Contents · 11 sections

1. What we collect

Facet collects facial measurement data (distances, angles, ratios) from your device's TrueDepth sensor when you perform a scan. This data is generated and stored entirely on your device.

We also collect basic usage data: app opens, feature usage, scan frequency, and purchase history. This helps us improve the app and understand how features are used.

We do not collect your name, email address, or other personal identifiers unless you provide them voluntarily (for example, to receive a prize payout).

2. On-device processing

All face scanning, scoring, and analysis happens entirely on your device using the TrueDepth sensor. No facial images or biometric data are uploaded to our servers during normal use.

Your scan history, scores, improvement plans, and routine data are stored locally on your device and are not accessible to us.

3. The one exception: Challenge verification

If you win the 90-Day Challenge and claim the $500 prize, we need to verify your results. In this case — and only with your explicit consent — saved scan checkpoint images are submitted from your device to our verification server.

These images are used solely for prize verification. After verification and payout processing are complete, all server-side data is permanently deleted. We do not retain, sell, or share these images.

4. What we never do

We never sell your data to third parties. We never share your data with advertisers. We never use your facial data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than providing you with your score and improvement plan.

We do not use facial recognition technology. Facet measures geometric proportions — it does not identify who you are.

5. Analytics and crash reporting

We may use anonymized, aggregated analytics to understand app usage patterns and improve performance. This data cannot be traced back to you or your device.

Crash reports may be collected automatically by Apple through standard iOS mechanisms. These contain technical device information but no facial or personal data.

6. Data retention

Your scan data lives on your device for as long as you keep the app installed. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data permanently.

If you submit data for challenge verification, server-side data is deleted within 30 days of verification completion.

Anonymized analytics data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be linked to any individual.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the European Union, you have the right to: access the personal data we hold about you, request deletion of your data, request a portable copy of your data, object to processing of your data, and withdraw consent at any time.

Since nearly all data is stored locally on your device, you already have direct access and control. To exercise any additional rights or make a request, email privacy@rencix.com with the subject line "GDPR request".

We will respond to all data protection requests within 30 days.

8. Age restriction

Facet is intended for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has used the app, contact us at privacy@rencix.com and we will take appropriate action.

9. Cookies and tracking

Facet is a native iOS app and does not use cookies. We do not track you across other apps or websites. We do not participate in advertising networks or cross-device tracking.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
